The deal is done and confirmed! Kevin De Bruyne has joined Napoli on a free transfer. The contract runs until 2027, with an option to extend until 2028, reports Nicolo Sciarra.
It is worth recalling that despite reports from insiders that Kevin's move to Napoli was in the final stages, other suitors emerged, whose offers the Belgian was seriously considering. In particular, these included Chicago Fire and clubs from the Saudi Arabian Championship. The Independent even reported on Liverpool's interest, which, however, seemed unlikely, given that the Scousers are currently City's main rivals in England, and out of respect for City, Kevin would hardly agree to move to Merseyside.
Kevin joined City in 2015. In 10 years, he became a symbol of the club, winning every possible trophy with the team. This season, he has played 40 games, scored 6 goals and made 8 assists. The Transfermarkt portal values the 33-year-old Belgian at 20 million euros.
