Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal, who recently extended his contract with the club until 2031, gave an interview to Cadena SER, talking about his relationship with Robert Lewandowski, his father's joke about the contract and his vision for his future position on the pitch.
Yamal noticed a significant improvement in his relationship with the experienced Robert Lewandowski, despite their age difference.
"My relationship with Levi has improved a lot. After all, when I reached the first team, I was a young center player and we didn't have a special relationship. Now they are very good, we often meet each other even off the pitch," the 17-year-old Spaniard shared.
The footballer also commented on the number his father posted on Instagram during the contract extension, denying rumors that it was his annual salary.
"I think I will always be a winger because I like to play one-on-one. Of course, I will get the ball inside more often, but there will always be more opponents there. Over the years, I think I will start on the wing, but I will do more and more actions inside," Yamal was quoted as saying by TMW.
