Girona's sporting director Quique Carcel has commented on the club's 2024 summer transfer campaign.

As for the other positions, in my opinion, we had two players who could show a good level. The team had bright moments. I can't say that the lineup was bad: we have a good team with promising players.

"If we compare it to the season when we were relegated, I chose more experienced players and didn't follow my own idea. This year I followed my own vision. I don't think the transfer market was excellent or high, but I can't say it was a bad transfer window either," Carcel was quoted as saying by AS.

Recall that in the 2023/24 season, Dovbik scored 24 goals in La Liga for the Catalans and became the top scorer in the Spanish championship.
