The Armenian youth team held its second friendly match with its peers from Cyprus.
Armen Gyulbudaghyants' boys conceded two goals in the opening half of the match. First, 21-year-old Nearkhos Ginonos opened the score, and twelve minutes later Evagoras Charalampous doubled his team's advantage. In this situation, the Armenian youth did not panic and began to threaten the opponent's goal with intense attacks, which paid off in the 28th minute with a penalty kick. The ball was entrusted to 19-year-old Davit Hakobyan, who coolly struck the goal defended by the 21-year-old Cypriot. This is Hakobyan's eighth penalty kick, and it is noteworthy that he never misses, lightly touching the ball and sending it into the opponent's goal.
In the second half, Vyacheslav Afyan and his teammates started the match again actively, before the 59th minute, Nearkhos Ginonos scored a double, pushing the Cypriots ahead. The future generation of the national team did not keep the answer waiting, in the 68th minute Misak Hakobyan reduced the score, scoring the first goal for the youth team with a penalty kick, he is also the brother of Davit Hakobyan. Despite the friendly nature of the match, our opponent was going for victory and Angelos Neophytou scored the second double in this match (71, 81) making the score 2:5.
The coaching staff of the Armenian youth team constantly encouraged their players to move forward and not lose focus, which is necessary during official matches.
Let's add that this is the second consecutive match between these teams in three days; the first match ended in a 1:1 draw.
