Tijani Reynders is one step away from becoming a new Manchester City player. Today, Sunday, June 8, the Dutch midfielder will undergo a medical with the "city" and, if the results are positive, he will sign a five-year contract with the English club, reports Calciomercato.
The player will be immediately available to Pep Guardiola at the Club World Cup (City are in Group G with Juventus, Al Ain and Casablanca). The management managed to meet the deadlines set by the coach, who wanted to see Reynders in the team for the tournament scheduled for June 14 to July 13 in the United States.
Reynders himself confirmed that the medical examination will take place today, saying in an interview with Dutch television:
"I will leave for Manchester in the morning, then return to Zeist (a city in the Netherlands. — Ed.) in the evening."
The total revenue for Milan from the sale of Reynders will be 70 million euros, divided into three stages: 57 million euros guaranteed, 10 million euros in easily accessible bonuses and another 3 million euros in more difficult to achieve bonuses. After an initial offer rejected by the Rossoneri in recent weeks, Manchester City have taken a decisive second step, reaching the 70 million euros that Milan have set as the minimum amount to sell the Dutchman.
