The Armenian national team ended the friendly match with the Montenegrin team in a draw.
In the opening minute of the match, as a result of a three-way action, Russian champion Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan opened the scoring by passing the ball to Artur Serobyan and Styopa Mkrtchyan, but four minutes later Vasilije Adzic equalized the score (1:1).
In the remainder of the first half, John Vant Skip's men had scoring opportunities and a game advantage, but failed to score.
In the second half, our boys again showed active football. Looking back at the previous match (Kosovo 2:5), we can say that the national team's coaching staff has done a significant job.
In the 52nd minute of the match, the Armenian football players again lost their rhythm in a mixed situation and missed a goal, but in the added time of the match, Eduard Spertsyan scored a double, making the score 2:2.
With these friendly matches, Artur Serobyan and his teammates prepared for the 2026 World Cup qualifying round, where our opponents are the national teams of Portugal, Hungary, and Ireland.
According to sportsworld.am, the best player of the match is Eduard Spertsyan.
Let's add that the Armenian national team will begin its performances at the 2026 World Cup on September 6 by hosting the Portuguese national team.
