AC Milan are planning to move forward with negotiations over the transfer of Granit Xhaka. Milan's interest in the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder was first reported in early June.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the Rossoneri are in constant dialogue with the Swiss player's agent. The player himself has been as open as possible about a possible transfer. New contacts are expected next week, in particular with Bayer Leverkusen, in order to specifically agree on a transfer. The 32-year-old player's current contract with the German club is valid until 2028.
Recall that last season, Granit Xhaka played 50 games for Bayer Leverkusen, scored two goals and made seven assists.
