FC Pyunik has a new addition. 26-year-old midfielder Daniel Aghbalyan has joined Yeghishe Melikyan's team.
Daniel was born in Stary Oskol, Belgorod Region, Russia, and it was there that he took his first steps in football. In 2018, he played for the Olimpik team in Novaya Usman.
In the summer of 2019, Daniel Aghbalyan moved to Pyunik, but spent the first part of the season at Ani, a club playing in the First Group of Armenia, and from January 2020, he continued his performances at Pyunik-2. In June of the same year, Daniel made his debut in the Pyunik main team, participating in 4 matches in the Armenian Premier League.
In July 2021, Aghbalyan moved to Armenian Premier League newcomer CSKA Moscow, where he spent the previous 4 seasons. In total, he participated in 129 matches for the army team, scoring 12 goals and providing 15 assists.
The young footballer was called up to the Armenian national team for the first time last month and made his debut for the national team in a friendly match against the Montenegrin national team on June 9.
