La Liga president Javier Tebas has commented on Atletico's request to audit all of Barcelona's financial transactions.
"Atletico are complaining because Barcelona have publicly stated their desire to buy a player, if the statements attributed to Deco are true. According to FIFA regulations, we cannot interfere in this. But we will do what we will do, which is to make sure that Barcelona respects the rules for signing players, whether it is Nico Williams, Holland or Messi... whoever the player is. We will not change anything," Tebas was quoted as saying by Marca.
Earlier, Athletic announced a meeting with La Liga representatives to discuss Barcelona's ability to register new players, where the Basque club presented arguments in favor of the Catalans' violations.
