Real Madrid announced on its official website the injury of 33-year-old defender David Alaba.
"Following a medical examination, David Alaba has been diagnosed with a calf muscle injury in his left leg. We await developments," the club said in a statement.
According to media reports, the Austrian footballer could miss a month due to this injury.
Alaba was recovering from a torn cruciate ligament from December 2023 to January 2025. In February, the Real Madrid defender injured his hamstring. In April, Alaba tore his meniscus. In total, the 33-year-old played 14 games in all competitions last season.
