Arsenal will strengthen its coaching staff. Former Argentina defender Gabriel Heinze will join Mikel Arteta's team, reports The Athletic.
According to the source, the Argentine's appointment came after Spaniard Carlos Cuesta left Arsenal and took over at Parma.
The 47-year-old Heinze has coaching experience: after retiring in 2014, he managed Godoy Cruz in Argentina, Atlanta United in the MLS and Newell's Old Boys, the club where he began his career as a player. His last coaching job was as head coach of Newell's, which he left in November 2023.
