Liverpool have decided to postpone the start of pre-season training following the tragic death of striker Diogo Jota in a car accident in Spain, The Independent reports.
According to the source, the first group of players is expected to arrive at the base on Friday, July 4. The training camp was scheduled to start on July 8. At the moment, there is no information about the Merseysiders' pre-season training dates.
The 28-year-old joined Liverpool from Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020. He has made 182 appearances in all competitions, scoring 65 goals and providing 26 assists. Jota has won the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup twice with the Merseyside club. He has also won the Nations League twice with Portugal.
