Goalkeeper Oliver Zych has joined Rakuwa Częstochowa on loan from Aston Villa. The loan agreement is valid until June 30, 2026, the Polish club's official website reports.
Oliver was born on June 28, 2004 in Gdańsk. His height is 193 cm. He graduated from the academies of "Arka Gdynia" and "Zaglebie Lubin".
In August 2020, he moved to Aston Villa, where he played in the youth teams. In the 2023/2024 season, he played on loan at Puszcza Niepołomice in the Ekstraklasa. He made his debut in the Polish top division on 15 September 2023, against Śląski (Wrocław). He played a total of 27 league games for the club.
He also played for Aston Villa's under-21 team last season. He is yet to make his senior debut. In June 2024, Zych made his only appearance for the Poland under-21 team.
