The 21st round match of the Fastex Premier League between Gandzasar and Ararat was suspended due to a fan protest.
The fan clubs of the Armenian national team, "Red Eagles" and "FAF" have issued an official statement stating:
"Since the beginning of the formation of the demand for the resignation of the FFA leadership, we have been substantiating and substantiating all aspects of their complete failure of local football and sounding the alarm about the need for a change in the FFA leadership day after day. In parallel with all this, we have presented a program for the recovery of football and the restoration of justice."
The leadership of the Armenian Football Federation, having clearly failed its own strategy until 2025, lacking a development vision, is trying to cover up current problems with unfulfillable promises, such as the criteria for selecting the national team coach.
Starting today, all fan movements of the Armenian national team and Armenian clubs are resuming actions demanding the resignation of the FFA president, including the cancellation of matches in the Armenian Premier League, Armenian Cup and other matches. We will wait for the response of the FFA leadership or any official and dialogue with them exclusively on the terms of the resignation.
At the same time, we apologize to all clubs, players, and referees for the inconvenience, no action is directed at you. First of all, we do not like the current situation.
We would also like to appeal to all stadiums, clubs, and FFA security personnel to remain within their authority and to exclude any type of violence and provocative actions during our actions.
"Resignation is inevitable."
It should be noted that the fan protests began after the national team's recent defeat, where the team's 12th player presented two demands, namely the resignation of the national team's head coach and the current FFA leadership.
