Zakharyan left out of Japan's Real Sociedad roster

Real Sociedad's Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan will not travel with the Spanish team to Japan, as the midfielder continues to recover from a viral illness, reports the popular Spanish online publication Mundo Deportivo.

Recall that Zakharyan missed most of last season due to injuries. The Russian has participated in only four games in all competitions, in which he scored one goal and made one assist. The player's current employment contract with the club is valid until the summer of 2029.

In the first round of the new Spanish league season, Real Sociedad will face Valencia in an away match on August 16.
