34-year-old Belgian attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will play under number 11 for Napoli, journalist Matteo Moretto reported on the X social network.

 Earlier, the press service of the Neapolitan club published a photo of the player from training, wearing the number 10 sports uniform, under which the legendary Argentine Diego Maradona once played for Napoli. This caused a negative reaction among the club's fans, as the number 10 playing shirt was withdrawn from circulation in Napoli in honor of Maradona.

De Bruyne previously played for English club Manchester City for almost 10 years. In the 2024/2025 season, he made 40 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing eight assists.
