Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has spoken about the future of Calamars forward Alexander Isak, amid interest from Liverpool and Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal. It was previously reported that Newcastle have no intention of selling Isak after rejecting a €139m bid from the Merseyside club.
"It's hard for me to be 100% sure about any player. Alexander is happy at Newcastle, he loves the players, the staff, the team. I'm sure he'll be here at the start of the season. We have a few players like that who are irreplaceable. We're looking forward to keeping Isak in our team," Howe was quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
Recall that earlier there was information that the "Squids" are demanding no less than 173 million euros for the football player, an amount that should scare away potential buyers.
Isak played 42 games in all competitions last season, scoring 27 goals and providing six assists. His contract with the club runs until the end of June 2028. According to Transfermarkt, the player's net worth is estimated at 120 million euros.
