Roma head coach Gian Piero Gasperini shared his impressions of his first training sessions at the helm of the Roman club and commented on the situation in the transfer market.
"Yes, there is a little bit of anxiety. There have been some problems with the transfers, so we are behind schedule. We need to get there as quickly as possible. But it will be difficult. I expect more transfers, the owners agreed with me."
Roma must move forward. We have a list of players we want to sign: they are young, agile and strong. I can say with confidence that the club continues to work to fill the gaps. I understand the demands of the transfer window, but Serie A starts in August.
"Dybala hasn't shown his best results yet, but I've seen good signs from him. Pellegrini? It will take a little while to see him back on the pitch, Dovbik also has problems with muscle tension, but he should return to training on Tuesday," Gasperini was quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia.
The new Italian Serie A season kicks off on August 23. Roma will host Bologna.
