PSG is trying to do everything to secure the transfer of Ukrainian Bournemouth defender Ilya Zabarny, RMC Sport reports.

According to the source, due to the lack of progress in negotiations over the 22-year-old player, the president of the Parisian club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has decided to personally intervene in the dialogue with the English club. It is noted that the PSG leader often resorts to such steps to reach an agreement.

Al-Khelaifi's participation in the negotiations, as well as the funds that the Parisian club will receive in the form of interest from the transfer of former PSG player Hugo Ekitiku from Eintracht Frankfurt to Liverpool, could help the French club sign a contract with the Ukrainian defender.

The defender has been playing for Bournemouth since January 2023. Last season, Zabarny made 39 appearances in all competitions, providing one assist. It was previously reported that Tottenham were also interested in the Ukrainian's services.
