Chelsea are continuing to hold active talks over the transfer of Dutch internationals Ajax's 19-year-old versatile defender Jorel Hato and RB Leipzig's 22-year-old attacking midfielder Xavi Simmons, journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano reported on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
According to the source, both players are very interested in moving to Chelsea, with Hato already agreeing personal terms with the Blues, while Simmons' deal has progressed further. It is noted that the "pensioners" are already in the process of agreeing a transfer fee for the Dutch players with Leipzig and Ajax.
Last season, Simmons played 33 games in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists. The player's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027. The player's estimated value, according to the Transfermarkt website, is 70 million euros. Hato played 50 games last season, scoring three goals and providing six assists. His contract with the "Amsterdam" is valid for another three years, and his transfer value is estimated at 35 million euros.
