Yesterday, July 26, new negotiations took place regarding the possible transfer of English Bournemouth defender Ilya Zaborni to French Paris Saint-Germain. This was reported by well-known insider Jamel X (formerly Twitter) on the social network.
According to the source, the leadership of the Parisian club is growing optimistic about the resolution of this issue, as the parties are close to reaching an agreement on all terms. It is noted that the president of the Parisians, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has had several meetings with the president of Bournemouth.
It is also emphasized that the player himself participated in the negotiations, discussing his intentions to play under PSG head coach Luis Enrique. The Ukrainian defender immediately made it clear to the coach that he wants to play for the Parisian giants, despite the interest of other clubs.
It was previously reported that the Paris management offered €60 million for Zabarni, but this amount did not satisfy Bournemouth, who wanted €70 million. After that, negotiations between the clubs were temporarily suspended.
