Barcelona releases statement on Ter Stegen's condition following lower back surgery

Barcelona has released a statement on social media X (formerly Twitter) stating that Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has undergone successful surgery on his lower back.

"First-team player Marc-André ter Stegen has successfully undergone another operation on his lower back, performed by Dr. Amelie Legly at the Bordeaux Sports Clinic under the supervision of the club's medical service. He is not available to participate in matches. His recovery process will determine when he will be able to return," the Blaugrana said in a statement.

Earlier, media outlets reported that the 33-year-old goalkeeper's rehabilitation period could be four months.
