The newly appointed head coach of the Armenian national team, Yeghishe Melikyan, commented on Varazat Haroyan's decision to end his performances with the national team, Fast Sport commentator and insider Suren Meliksetyan reports.
"I respectfully accept Varazdat Haroyan's decision to end his career with the Armenian national team. I thank him for his exceptional dedication and years of high-level performances with the team."
Unfortunately, despite my willingness, I will not have the opportunity to work with him again.
Haroyan is the embodiment of a true leader of the national team, a true leader and professional. We are ready to organize Haroyan's farewell match with the national team.
"I think the national team should give footballers like Vato a proper send-off," said Yeghishe Melikyan.
