Italian media are reporting a possible change in the fate of Roma's Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbik. Despite public statements of confidence in the player, the club is considering selling him.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the transfer of Dovbik, which cost Roma more than 40 million euros, could become a short-term project. New Wolves coach Gian Piero Gasperini does not yet see the Ukrainian as the main figure in his tactical model, and the striker is far from optimal form.
Roma have already rejected Villarreal's request to loan the striker. However, according to the source, if a serious offer is received, starting from 32 million euros (an amount that would avoid financial losses due to devaluation), Roma are ready to sit down at the negotiating table.
English clubs Leeds and West Ham are among the potential buyers, although no concrete offers have been made yet. Wolves' signing of striker Evan Ferguson only strengthens the rumours of a possible transfer for Dovbik this summer.
