Guardiola: Rodri is still the best player in the world, even if that changes soon

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has responded to a question about the return of midfielder Rodri, who was injured in the Club World Cup.

"I only want stability from Rodri, that's all. I have no doubts about his potential, his quality, one way or another, at the moment he is the best player in the world. In a few months a new player will be chosen, but for now Rodri is still the best. I have no doubt that there is stability: training, games, training, minutes [on the pitch], and everything will be fine," Guardiola was quoted as saying by City Xtra on its X social media page.

Rodri won the 2024 Ballon d'Or. The Spanish footballer is not in the running for the 2025 award.
