England striker Harry Kane has said ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Serbia that his team has yet to show their full potential in the current qualifiers.
"He (Thomas Tuchel) is trying to be brave, trying to teach us to approach any game with any opponent with the right energy. [It shows] in the way we press and keep the ball. I don't think the last few games have been easy enough to fully demonstrate that."
We haven't shown our best qualities yet, there are players who are important for the group. Jude [Bellingham] can't help us, Bukayo [Saka] can't help us either, John [Stones] has been with us for a while - they are very important players for us in terms of what we are trying to create. But it gives other players a chance to shine.
"But maybe in the next game we can be the best version of ourselves and show what the manager wants to see. That's what we try to do in every game. He makes us understand that he is happy with the work we are doing. And we like the direction we are moving in," Kane was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
