Melikyan: I have a request, don't bother us.

After the 2026 World Cup match between Armenia and Ireland (2:1), the head coach of the national team, Yeghishe Melikyan, said in a conversation with reporters:

"I said at the conference: Our nation needs victories. Let's take that responsibility upon ourselves and grant our nation that victory." Yeghishe Melikyan

"I have one request: don't bother us, don't criticize us, believe us."

He also spoke about the boys' recovery after the defeat to the Portuguese team (0:5), noting: "We have a coaching staff that can recover the boys."
