In the sixth round of the Fastex Premier League, Gyumri's Shirak hosted Yerevan's Ararat. In the last match between the teams, Ararat defeated Robert Darbinyan and his teammates 3:1. The match took place in April.
During the first thirteen minutes of the match, Arsen Hovhannisyan and Albert Safaryan's boys tried to approach the opponent's goal in different directions and at that time, the captain of Gyumri, Rafik Misakyan, opened the score of the match without missing (11m) kick. A minute later, the Yerevan club brought in 21-year-old Cameroonian footballer Patrick Victor Handzongo. Events in this match did not keep each other waiting. After a two-week break due to international matches, the teams seemed to have come out on the field with longing and in the 37th minute of the match, Ararat's 20-year-old Ivory Coast player, Moussa Kanto, equalized the score 2:2.
For the clubs participating in the Fastex Premier League, the meeting with Shirak at the Gyumri City Stadium turned into a real nightmare, but after conceding two goals, Ararat, led by Albert Safaryan, managed to equalize the score.
At the start of the second half, Gyumri's head coach Arsen Hovhannisyan made a substitution, replacing Grigor Ghumashyan with Levon Darbinyan.
Shirak earned their second penalty kick in the fourth minute of added time, which Lyova Mryan scored without a mistake, putting his team ahead.
In the 90+11th minute, the Gyumri team put an end to the match: Vardan Tovmasyan, after a pass from Seryozha U Rushanyan, scored the goal defended by Adel Anzimati Abudu.
The sixth round also saw the match between "Gandzasar" and "Van". Karen Barseghyan's boys won 1:0 at home against the Charentsavan club.
Today's opponents are currently in close proximity to each other in the standings. Kapan's Gandzasar is in seventh place with six points, Van and Shirak are in eighth and ninth place with five points, respectively, and Yerevan's Arararat is at the bottom of the standings with one point.
