England head coach Thomas Tuchel was unhappy with the national team's performance in the first half of the friendly match against New Zealand (1:0).
"Overall, (England's game) will be good, but I'm not excited. I liked the second half better than the first. We played more from our positions, so we played faster and were more aggressive without the ball."
"In the first half, the team played out of position and improvised too much. This slowed us down and made it difficult to counter-press because we were not in the positions we wanted to be when we started to attack," Tuchel was quoted as saying by Goal.
