The current Armenian Cup holder, Noah, has made an official statement to the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), the club's press service reports.
Dear football fans,
Today, we wrote to the Football Federation of Armenia, voicing our concerns regarding the broadcast of the Armenian Premier League.
While we were waiting for the official response, the HPL match was being broadcast even without commentary.
Below is an abbreviated version of our letter:
We find it unacceptable that the new season of the Armenian Premier League has started without an official broadcaster, while the clubs have not received any official notification or clarification in advance. This is a serious problem not only for the fans, but also for the clubs, which invest billions of drams in the development of Armenian club football and have made clear commitments to their sponsors and partners.
The broadcasting issue is not just a media issue. It has a direct impact on the commercial value of the championship, the visibility of sponsors, fan engagement, as well as the effective operation of the VAR system and, consequently, the quality of refereeing decisions. Of particular concern is the fact that the Armenian Premier League still does not have a title sponsor.
Considering the above, please clarify:
● Why did the Armenian Premier League season start without an official broadcaster?
● What steps have already been taken to resolve the problem?
● What is the action plan of the Football Federation of Armenia to ensure stable, professional and high-quality broadcasting of the championship?
● What is the timeframe for the final resolution of the issue?
The clubs continue to invest in the development of Armenian football and expect the same level of responsibility, transparency, and strategic approach from the Football Federation of Armenia.
Let us add that Hovhannes Hambardzumyan and his teammates will compete against Sion in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The match will take place on August 6 at the Vahagn Tumasyan Sports Complex in Abovyan.
