Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus has commented on his move from Arsenal to Barcelona.
"I feel great. This place is like a dream and I have always dreamed of having the opportunity to play for Barcelona one day. I have watched many Barcelona games since I was a child. I am really excited and looking forward to training with my new teammates, all of whom are top-class players. And I am here to play. I hope the fans enjoy it."
I already know Eric Garcia, Rodri, Cancelo and Rafinha and they will help me adapt. I have heard a lot of good things about the dressing room. Each of us is here to help Barcelona win. I have the same motivation: to score goals and help the team. It is not just about scoring goals; I can do much more on the pitch. Scoring goals is the main job of a number nine, but I believe I can contribute in many ways. And, of course, the most important thing is to keep Barcelona at the top and win many trophies.
"Before this, I had only played in a friendly match against Barcelona. So the moment I step onto the pitch in this shirt will be special for me. As I said, I have been a Barcelona fan since I was a child. Now I have the opportunity to step onto the Camp Nou pitch, in the Blaugrana, and that is priceless. You can be sure that I will do everything. I will fight for every ball. I will always try to score in the penalty area. Goals, passes, interceptions, defense, attacking play, I will always support my teammates. That is who I am. I have to put my heart and soul into the game. That is what the fans can expect from me," Jesus said, according to an interview with the official Barcelona website.
