HPL: "VAN" DEFEATED "SHIRAK" AT HOME

In the 25th round of the Fastex Premier League, Charentsavan's Van hosted Gyumri's Shirak. The Gyumri team lost at home to Yerevan's Ararat in the previous round. This match was the first for the newly appointed head coach Vardan Bichakhchyan. Led by Bichakhchyan, the Gyumri team played in a 4-2-3-1 formation. According to  sportsworld.am, the match was played with inactive football, but Van had more possession of the ball and in the 71st minute the Charentsavan team opened the score with a goal by Peter Modula (1:0). The 20-year-old football player also opened his goal tally in the current championship. He has played seven matches for the team led by Nigerian Arthur Asoyan. Thus, Van won, bringing Shirak's points tally to 31 and occupying sixth place in the Fastex Premier League standings, while Shirak shares ninth and tenth place with Yerevan's Ararat with 12 points.
