Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta shared his impressions of the Premier League match against West Ham United (1:0).
"What a moment, what a day, what a week it was for us, full of emotions. I can't even fully appreciate the spirit, the desire, the courage and the quality of the team's play throughout the week, because there was so much at stake and today we knew how difficult it would be to face a team fighting for survival, a club with an incredible history. I think we started the game very well, we created three great chances to go ahead, but we couldn't take them, so we have to stay calm."
Then Ben White got injured and we had to make some changes. Then at half-time we had to make another change because of Richie [Calafiore] getting injured. I told the boys at half-time: ‘We’re really going to give it our all, so be ready because if the game doesn’t go our way we’re going to have to change everything.’ The attacking players played a big role. Martin [Zubimendi] came on and had an incredible impact, making a move that put Leo [Trossardi] in a great position to score, and then there were two more big moments in the game.
