Not only French PSG, but also London's Arsenal are interested in signing Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, reports ESPN.
According to the source, both teams are studying the possibility of acquiring the Argentine striker this summer. Yesterday it was reported that the French club could pay more than 150 million euros for the 26-year-old striker. PSG is ready to part with Portuguese striker Gonzalo Ramos and use the money from the transfer to acquire Alvarez. The Parisians will soon announce their initial transfer offer.
Arsenal, having learned of PSG's interest, have also decided to join the race for the player: the club sees Alvarez as a prime candidate to strengthen their attacking line and is also ready to start work on a transfer.
It is noteworthy that Madrid does not want to part with the Argentine. Barcelona previously tried to acquire the player, but the Catalans' offer was rejected.
Alvarez's contract with Atletico runs until the summer of 2030. Transfermarkt values the 26-year-old Argentine at €90 million.
In the current Spanish league season, Alvarez has played 29 matches, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
