Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has spoken about the VAR system, reports the BBC.
The expert believes that his club has suffered from poor refereeing decisions, and cited as an example episodes from the 2024 and 2025 FA Cup finals, which Manchester City lost.
"We lost two FA Cup finals because the referees didn't do their job as they should have, and the VAR system didn't do its job as well."
"When this happens, it means we have to play better and not blame the referees or VAR. I have never relied on anything since I came here many years ago. I have always learned that you have to play better and be in the best possible position because you blame yourself for what you should have done because VAR is like a coin toss," Guardiola told the BBC.
Manchester City is in second place in the English Premier League table with 74 points after 35 games.
