In the final of the 2025/26 Armenian Cup, the reigning champion/cupholder and super cup holder, "Noah" contested the national cup with "Urartu" Yerevan.
In the semifinals, Hovhannes Hambardzumyan and his teammates overcame the obstacle of the Fastex Premier League leader, Ararat-Armenia, in a general confrontation, while Urartu also overcame the obstacle of the Armenian first group, Andranik, to qualify for the final. Led by Robert Arzumanyan, the Oranges reached the final again in the 2021/22 season, where they lost to Noravank.
At the start of the match, “Noah” showed active football, having a corner kick, but was unable to send the ball beyond the goal line. In the ninth minute of the match, “Urartun” opened the score (0:1) with a goal by Mikael Mirzoyan. After the missed goal, the guests started to play even more active football and in the 27th minute of the match, Helder Ferreira restored the balance of the score (1:1), the Portuguese footballer also opened his goal tally, having participated in five matches in the current cup competition. After the goal of the 29-year-old footballer, “Noah” continued its typical game with renewed vigor, at the end of the first half, Marin Jakolish put his team ahead (2:1).
In the second half, the team led by the Croatian specialist, having an advantage, was not satisfied with what they had achieved, and in the 51st minute of the match, Marin Jakoliš made the score 3:1 by scoring a double to his name, the Croatian footballer increased the number of goals in the cup competition to three. Nathaniel Saientini also scored effectively for the defending champions, tripling his team's advantage in the 55th minute of the match. Urartu, appearing in the role of pursuer, was only able to reduce the score difference in the 74th minute with a goal by Edik Vardanyan (4:2).
Urartu has won the Armenian Cup four times, the last of which was in 2023. Thus, Noah won 4:2, making Urartu the three-time Armenian Cup winner. Let's add that Noah is in second place in the Fastex Premier League standings with 49 points, Urartu shares third/fourth place with Pyunik with 48 points each.
