In the 26th round of the Fastex Premier League, CSKA hosted the championship leader Ararat-Armenia. In the previous round, the Black and Whites lost 0:4 to the current champion/cupholder and super cup holder of Armenia, Noah, while the Army also left the field empty-handed, losing 0:2 to Pyunik.
Ararat-Armenia started the match actively, pressing the opponent and having an advantage over the opponent, but the initial activity gradually decreased and in the 25th minute of the match, CSKA's 20-year-old striker Narek Hovhannisyan, taking advantage of a mistake by Ararat-Armenia's Portuguese goalkeeper Bruno Pintu, opened the score of the match (1:0), which was Hovhannisyan's eighth goal during the 2025/26 Fastex Premier League season.
After the missed goal, Armen Hambardzumyan and his teammates organized intensive attacks on the goal of the team led by Armen Gyulbudaghyants. Shortly after conceding the second goal, Ararat-Armenia reduced the score difference (2:1) thanks to Arayik Eloyan's goal. Losing by one goal, the team led by Manuel Tulipa resorted to aggressive actions that brought the desired result. In the 72nd minute of the match, as a result of the misleading actions of the Ararat-Armenia players, Joao Queiroz restored the score balance (2:2). In the 83rd minute of the match, CSKA player Petik Manukyan committed a violation of the rules, as a result of which the penalty kick was brought to his team's goal and Hugo Oliveira put Ararat-Armenia ahead with an unerring shot.
Thus, Ararat-Armenia scores 57 points, having a seven-point advantage over second-place Alashkert, CSKA is seventh with 22 points. In the final round of the 2025/26 Fastex Premier League season, Ararat-Armenia will host Gandzasar at home, while CSKA will face Ararat Yerevan in an away game.
